<p>Yoga postures known as &#8220;asanas&#8221; in Sanskrit, are not simple physical exercises, as each of them directly affects several muscle groups, the internal organs and one or more endocrine glands. In addition, the practice with a concentration of the mind focused on a specific part of the body and breathing, it is of utmost importance to achieve the full benefits of the practice. We can read often that there is no yoga without concentration, and this is a great truth because although the physical benefits that yoga provides are wonderful, the ultimate goal of the practice is the conquest of the mind.</p>
<p>Basically and to help us with weight loss, yoga works on the glands, the metabolic rate, the calories expenditure, the flexibility and the work on specific muscle groups. <p>This diet should also not be attempted by morbidly obese people. <p>You should also have three snacks throughout the day. I suggest that you have them between meals, this means that you won’t get very hungry and over indulge when it comes to meal times. It is also recommended that you do thirty minutes of exercise every day. This may include a brisk walk or a forty five minute bicycle ride. It is important that you get your heart rate up whilst doing your exercise, it’s not going to do you any good if you take it too easy, you need to work up a bit of a sweat. Getting a good nights rest is also important when it comes to loosing weight, 75% of people that get a good nights sleep are slimmer than their counterparts that don’t get at least 7 hours a night. We can’t over emphasise the need for a good nights rest. Staying in shape is good for the body and mind alike.</p>
